DHS corrects the H-1B receipt table behind its proposed fee
The correction replaces the proposal's historical Form I-129 receipt table. It does not turn the proposed $103,265 charge into a current fee.

What the corrected table says
The replacement table reports 2,143,206 total H-1B Form I-129 receipts across fiscal years 2021 through 2025, including 483,750 receipts classified as cap-subject. DHS lists a five-year annual average of 428,641 total receipts and 96,750 cap-subject receipts.
For fiscal years 2024 and 2025 combined, the table reports 884,040 total receipts and 217,819 cap-subject receipts, producing annual averages of 442,020 and 108,910. The Federal Register identifies USCIS's ELIS and CLAIMS3 databases as the source and says the query was run in March 2026.
These are petition receipts, not people or approvals
The figures describe Form I-129 receipts recorded by USCIS. They are not a count of unique workers, visas issued, approvals, admissions, current jobs, or enforcement actions. The table also warns that a petition's receipt fiscal year can differ from the cap year, which can create year-to-year deviations.
What did not change
The September 10 document corrects Table 13 on two pages of the August 25 proposal. It does not announce a final rule, an effective date, or a current payment requirement. The underlying Federal Register page continues to identify the action as proposed.
