Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI are separate CBP programs
CBP operates several trusted-traveler programs for different travel settings. Their names are related, but their geographic focus and lanes are not interchangeable.

Global Entry focuses on expedited international-arrival processing
CBP describes Global Entry as expedited clearance for preapproved, low-risk travelers arriving in the United States. Members use designated processing technology or lanes where available, but remain subject to inspection.
NEXUS is a joint U.S.-Canada program
NEXUS is administered cooperatively by CBP and the Canada Border Services Agency. CBP describes it as serving preapproved travelers entering the United States and Canada at participating air, land, and marine locations.
SENTRI centers on participating southern land-border ports
SENTRI provides dedicated processing for preapproved travelers at participating U.S.-Mexico land-border ports. Its operational setting differs from Global Entry’s international-arrival focus and NEXUS’s binational U.S.-Canada structure.
Membership is not a visa or admission guarantee
A trusted-traveler membership does not create immigration status, replace a passport or visa requirement, or guarantee admission. CBP officers continue to make inspection and admission decisions at ports of entry under federal law.
Trusted traveler interviews are not ICE activity
CBP conducts program vetting and enrollment interviews. These should not be counted as ICE administrative arrests, detention bookings, removals, or CBP enforcement encounters. Program appointment notices and enforcement statistics measure entirely different events.
